Arenal Volcano National Park & La Fortuna

The Arenal Volcano is truly a sight to behold. This volcano was Costa Rica’s most active volcano and has historically been one of the most active volcanoes in the entire world. It lies in the center Arenal Volcano National Park, a beautiful national park in the central area of the country. The best way to access the part is via it’s neighboring town, La Fortuna. Manuel Antonio National Park

Featuring gorgeous beaches, incredible biodiversity, and a lot of fun, the Manuel Antonio national park is one of the most attractive locations in Costa Rica. The tranquil ocean-facing beach is surrounded by lush rainforests teeming with amazing wildlife that can be easily spotted with or without guided tours. Impromptu soccer matches break out on the beach, while surfers enjoy the casual waves. Once you get tired of the peace and relaxation, head on over to the town of Manuel Antonio, where the evenings can get quite rowdy.

The Cloud Forests

The Cloud Forests by Monte Verde and Santa Elena have become popular ecotourism places within Costa Rica, and for good reason. This is the place to go if you want to stay mostly on the beaten path, enjoy some bird watching, wildlife observation, or hiking. The guided hikes are also a great recommendation, featuring canopy tours, zip-lines, suspension bridges, and other amazing experiences.
